With Wimbledon week fast approaching, one of our young people was making the most of the sunshine and enjoying a game of tennis on our school court. Little did they know that their match was about to be interrupted by a rather unusual visitor!

Football is one of the most popular activities at Selwyn Hall School, with many of our young people enjoying a game during playtimes and lunchtimes. Knowing how much enthusiasm our pupils have for the sport, we were delighted to welcome members of Cambridge United to school as part of our Careers Week.

As part of Careers Week, we were delighted to welcome a very special visitor to Selwyn Hall School – a Royal Marine Commando – who came to talk to our pupils about careers in the Armed Forces.

Vanessa, from Cambridge NHS health, came to visit the school to present a workshop which teaches children all about the dangers of smoking and vaping.

We’re gearing up for an action-packed Sports Day at Selwyn Hall School on Friday 27th June! Pupils will be rotating through a variety of fun and active challenges out on the field.

Parents and carers are encouraged to come along from 12pm for a picnic lunch on the school field, then stay to cheer on the children as they take part in the afternoon’s activities.

We attended a workshop Easthorpe School alongside staff from more schools across the Polaris Community to share a day of training with Dr Jennifer Nock.
